Associate Minister: William Atkinson
Yes – William and Alison are married to each other!
William is a Londoner and Alison a Scot. They met in Edinburgh where they both studied medicine and after working briefly as a doctor, William entered the ministry, serving at Kensington Temple in London from 1988.
During this time, Alison was busy working as a part time doctor and being mother to their two sons. In 1997, they went to Nantwich in Cheshire, where William became Principal of Regents Theological College. Alison then also left medicine and entered the ministry, working for seven years at the Nantwich Elim church. In 2007, they moved with their younger son Stephen to Braintree.
In June 2010, Alison took over from William as the senior pastor of the church. William remains on the ministry team, while also being extensively involved in teaching and writing.
Our elder, Tony Britten, and a team of deacons meet regularly with the pastors to pray and direct the church affairs.
