Yes – William and Alison are married to each other!
William is a Londoner and Alison a Scot, but they met in Edinburgh where they both studied medicine. After working briefly as a doctor, William entered the ministry, serving at Kensington Temple in London from 1988.
During this time, Alison was busy working as a part time doctor and being mother to their two sons. In 1997, they went to Nantwich in Cheshire, where William became Principal of Regents Theological College. Alison then also left medicine and entered the ministry, working for seven years at the Nantwich Elim church. In 2007, they moved with their younger son Stephen to Braintree, where each works part time for the church, while also pursuing other interests and ministries.
There are also other leaders and staff members, who meet regularly with the Atkinsons to coordinate the direction and ministries of the church.
